Nina Cobb Walker

The lifelong art enthusiast and native Texan utilizes the impasto technique of rich color to create texture in her paintings, striving for harmony to generate intense feeling and mood. She began studying with prominent artists in 1979. Having been trained extensively in the classical Russian oil painting tradition, she creates traditional, representational subject matter in the impressionist style. This progressive artist is motivated to the mastery and perfection of art with often top-ranking juried participation in many local, regional, national and international art shows. As she is active in arts community events, she teaches private oil painting classes to emerging El Paso-area artists while her works hang in private collections around the world.
